The 5-mile loop trail is wonderful on a nice day, but dismal if it is raining, since it gets very muddy and the birds hide. Also, this is a popular trail, and many people means noise, so it is good to be at the trailhead by 8am, at the latest. Early is better to see and hear the birds. We will have to be in touch via cell phone for any change of plans. So please include your cell phone # with your reservation.\n\n\n\nWe walk 2+ miles, until 9:30, or when rain threatens. Then return to the cars via the same way. If the weather looks promising, we continue around the 5-mile loop.\n\n\n\n
