This protected area is a haven for native birds and wildlife, such as the federally endangered waterbirds, the Hawaiian Stilt (aeʻo), Hawaiian Gallinule (ʻalae ʻula), and Hawaiian Coot (ʻalae keʻokeʻo).\nTo register for this bird tour, send your name, email address, and phone number to: events@hiaudubon.org ( mailto:events@hiaudubon.org ).\nParking: The entrance to Hāmākua Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary is directly next to 268 Hāmākua Drive in Kailua.
