Our book

The 7th edition of Hawaii’s Birds is available on our online store. First published by Hawaiʻi Audubon Society in 1967, this 5″×7″ book answers the question, “What’s that bird?” for both native and introduced species.

Countless photographers, bird experts, writers, and editors donated pictures and skills to make this book a must-have for experts and novices alike. In addition to photos, names, descriptions, voice, habits, and conservation of most birds you see in Hawaiʻi, the new edition also includes the birds’ cultural and historical significance to the Hawaiian people.
