Bishop Museum Science & Sustainability Festival (Oʻahu)
Discover how science, culture, and community action unite to protect the unique biodiversity of ko Hawaiʻi pae ʻāina at the Bishop Museum’s Science & Sustainability Festival. Museum scientists, educators, cultural practitioners, and community partners assemble to highlight their ongoing work to ensure a sustainable future for our keiki and for generations to come.
This year, our Science & Sustainability Festival places special focus on Makahiki Kuleana Kahakai: the Year of Our Coastal Kuleana, celebrating the richness of our coastal ecosystems, the ways that coasts connect us as people, and everyone’s role in caring for our coasts.
Date: Saturday, May 30 Time: 9am-3pm Location: Bishop Museum $5 tickets for kamaʻāina and military with ID
Come to our booth to learn more about our local birds, how you can get involved by volunteering with our citizen science projects. Keiki can play a fun matching game, and learn how to draw native birds or color in a coloring page! We will also be selling books and t-shirts.
