Urban Wildlife Series: Honolulu’s White Tern (Virtual)

NYC Plover Project is hosting a first-of-its-kind, free, live webinar series on urban wildlife, and White Terns are included! Join HAS board member, Rich Downs, as he talks story on Honolulu’s manu-o-Kū populations and the efforts in place to protect them. Learn about the Hui Manu-o-Kū, a group of conservationists and citizens formed to ensure the official bird of Honolulu is taken care and looked after. Citizens developed a citizen science initiative to help track the growing population in the city.

Urban wildlife is faced with unique challenges, but good folks around the globe are working hard to protect everyone from Flying Foxes to Sea Turtles. Find out more about the NYC Plover Project’s Urban Wildlife Series on their Link Tree.
