It’s been a while since we’ve done a White Tern walk in Waikīkī, and we’re excited to be heading back! There’s some great viewing of nesting manu o Kū right now, making this a perfect time to see these remarkable native seabirds up close in the heart of the city.
Date: Saturday, January 17
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Meeting location: Second level of the Royal Hawaiian Center, near the entrance to the KITH store. The red star on the map snippet marks where we’ll meet to start the walk.
RSVPby text to 808-379-7555 to reserve your place.
We’ll explore nearby nesting areas, talk story about White Tern behavior and breeding, and share what makes Waikīkī such a unique urban habitat for this species.
Ending location: Across the street at the International Market Place, where there is ample paid parking.
The walk is casual, family-friendly, and open to anyone curious about manu o Kū–whether you’re a long-time supporter or joining us for the first time. Hope to see you there!
