Beginner Bird Walk & Field Journaling (Oʻahu)

Join us on a walk focused on the joy of birds. Depending on interest, we will cover:

  • How to use binoculars (bring your own if you can, we have a limited number to borrow)
  • Basics of identification
  • Information about commonly found bird species
  • How to journal what we see — recording experiences using writing, drawing, and counting (bring your own journal or sketchbook and writing tool).

No prior experience necessary. For ages 12 and up. Babies and young children in strollers or carriers are also welcome.

Either email events@hiaudubon.org or sign up to reserve a spot at this link: https://forms.gle/UTAmFiCUqvvGPJj79

We will meet on the Waikiki (east) end of the park, across the street from the magic island parking lot, near the bathrooms.
