On May 10, it’s Global Big Day, and Hawaiʻi Audubon, Big Island Hui is planning on doing something different! They encourage all of you to go out and make an eBird report. It can be just one location for a minimum of 5 minutes, or you can bird all day. You can bird solo or with a partner or even a small group.
At 5:00pm that day they will meet at the large parking lot at the start of Kohanaiki Beach Park for Pupu’s and Talk Story about your findings.
Please have a team name and your list of birds seen ready for a quick report.
They will have prizes for best team name, most birds, and for anyone with the mystery bird they pick.
There is no cap to these events but please let organizer Mike Carion know if you can make it: mpcarion@gmail.com
