Waikīkī White Tern Walk – This Sunday!

Last weekend’s Waikīkī White Tern walk was a smashing success, with unusually good viewing opportunities of nesting Manu o Kū (White Terns) delighting everyone who joined us. These special viewing conditions don’t last long, so we’re excited to offer another Waikīkī White Tern Walk while the opportunity is still exceptional.

Sunday, January 25

9:00 – 10:30 AM
Join us for a guided walk through the heart of Waikīkī to learn about Honolulu’s beloved native seabird and enjoy some of the best chances to see nesting White Terns up close (from a respectful distance).

Meet-up location: Royal Hawaiian Center. Building B, Level 4 (upper level)

Walk will end at: International Market Place

Paid parking available

Route map: The attached map shows our planned route, with the starting point marked by a red star and the ending point marked by a blue star. Along the way, we’ll stop to view nesting White Terns and talk about their historical and cultural significance, breeding behavior, urban habitat, and how we can help protect them.

Family-friendly event — all ages welcome!

RSVP: Please text 808-379-7555 to let us know you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly. Space is limited.
Mahalo, and we hope to see you Sunday!
