Kolea Art and Science Workshop (Big Island)

Learn about one of Hawaiʻi’s favorite native birds, the kōlea (Pacific Golden-Plover) with Kate Righter from Hawaiʻi Audubon Society at the Laulima Nature Center in Hilo.  Join us for a fun interactive presentation about the kōleaʻs life cycle and a drawing activity appropriate for all ages and abilities. Then discover ways residents and visitors can help researchers by participating in Kōlea Countʻs citizen science project.
